Writing songs about exes isn’t something that has come about recently but it is certainly something that stimulates the creative juices with all of the raw emotion it often leaves behind.
‘The Distance’ picks that emotion up, makes some sense of it but most importantly keeps the rawness that inspired it in the first place.
Full to the brim of gritty classic rock vibes but with clean, crisp vocals, there is almost a need to be listening to this live in a grotty bar. A need that we will be able to fulfill soon. For now having a beer and listening loud will have to do.
