Morale – Embers

Genre: Hard Rock

Release Date: 31st January 2020

After a reserved opening 30-seconds or so, ‘Embers’ from UK based trio Morale kicks in to a sort of stadium style of hard rock that is more synonymous with the American radio rock crew.

The band themselves describe ‘Embers’ as the ‘storyteller lifting their bloody head off the steering wheel of a wrecked car’ as a metaphor for the end of a relationship and it is details like this that elevate the song above that of a standard rock song.

There are elements of bands like Foo Fighters in there with a more post rock vibe in places too but in truth it is the variation that the song transitions through across a relatively short period of time. Morale are a band on the cusp of something big here. Get on board with them now.
