Longevity is something that needs serious hard work, dedication and talent. With 2020 signalling 20 years in the business for Ontario, Canada based Silverstein, they’ve put in the hard graft that was needed and are reaping the rewards for that now.
On ‘Infinite’ they aren’t doing it all themselves this time though, they’ve brought in a friend on vocals in the shape of Aaron Gillespie (Underoath, The Almost) and, even though it should probably go without saying, it is a match made in heaven. ‘Infinite’ flows from it’s understated intro until the first chorus explodes out of seeming nowhere.
The contrasting vocals, the guitars that feel like they’re singing along and the energy coming out of everyone on this track is right out of the top drawer. What a way to kick off a year of celebration for the Canadians.
