Romain Ughetto – T’es Comme ça
First up today is French pop-punker Romain Ughetto and his comeback track ‘T’es Comme ça’. If you’re looking for a quintessential pop punk song then this is 100% it…but in French. Which let’s face it, just adds a level of mysticism and romanticism to the occasion, what with most of us in the UK not having a clue what is being said. The song has all of the hallmarks of being a success in the 00s MTV times, back when they played music, with the catchy guitar, catchy vocals and just all round catchiness. This is a song that everyone will want to sing along to.
Madame Psychosis – Kapow
Sticking with inherent catchiness, Madame Psychosis are up next with their pop infused rock track that seems to be perfectly timed for the current environment with bands like Novacub capitalising on a market more accepting of ‘fun’ than in recent years. This song is a drum fuelled tour through what a band enjoying themselves can do and if you don’t want to get up off your chair and start shouting ‘Kapow’ then you’re in the wrong place.
That’s all for this edition, thanks for reading! Don’t forget you can check out all the tracks we’ve reviewed this year on the playlist below:
