In what is one of the most poorly-kept secrets of the year, Bloodstock have announced that Parkway Drive will be headlining the Saturday night of this year’s festival in August!
Just as the Aussie metalcore titans left the stage of the sold-out Alexandra Palace last night in London, Bloodstock revealed what many had already guessed by announcing the band as their final headliner for this year’s festival. This will be Parkway’s first time at Catton Park, and their first shot at headlining a UK festival.
Frontman Winston McCall said that the band are ‘pretty damn excited! This will be our first shot headlining a UK festival. Bloodstock has a hell of a reputation and is renowned for having one of the best festival sites and atmospheres going. We’ll be bringing full production, we want to give Bloodstock a set that’s worthy of a headline slot! We’re psyched! Thanks for having us!”
Anyone who has seen the band in the last 12 months knows exactly what Winston is talking about with that production. Expect fire. Lots of fire. If you want more of an idea of what to expect come August, then stay tuned for our Live Review from the band’s show in Cardiff last week.
Parkway Drive will be joined at Catton Park this year by fellow headliners, Sabaton and Scorpions, along with sets from Anthrax, Dimmu Borgir, Children of Bodem, Cradle of Filth, Code Orange, Tesseract, Powerwolf, Rotting Christ, Thy Art is Murder, Dee Snider, Death Angel and many many more

Bloodstock will take place on the 8th-11th August 2019.
