Intervals reveal new song “By Far and Away”

Revered progressive instrumental proggers INTERVALS have unveiled new song ‘By Far and Away’, the second track made available from upcoming album, The Way Forward, released 1 December 2017.

Premiered on Prog Mag, check it out here: http://teamrock.com/news/2017-11-03/intervals-premiere-new-track-by-far-and-away

On what to expect from the album Aaron Marshal explains:  “I’m really excited to begin sharing music from this album with everyone. This record is special to me in the sense that I really tried to channel some of the things that excited and interested me in music when I initially discovered my passion for it as a kid. ‘The Way Forward’ is a really interesting literary concept to me in the context of this record. While I explored some new ground with these songs, I managed to find those elements by way of acknowledging my past.”

The LP is the follow-up to 2015’s highly acclaimed The Shape of Colour and is available to pre-order today (physical + digital) via www.intervalsmusic.net.

Aaron Marshall / INTERVALS has been Canada’s premier ambassador of progressive, instrumental guitar music. From 2012’s innovative staple EP In Timethrough to 2015’s widely-lauded The Shape of ColourMarshall has consistently been the voice of instrumental, guitar driven rock/metal from the north. The latest offering The Way Forward represents the natural evolution of Aaron’s sound, effortlessly melding high energy riff driven rock, with lush, ethereal soundscapes, whilst consistently driving home memorable, thought provoking hooks. In 2016, Marshall toured in support of The Shape of Colour, headlining across North America and also as direct support to instrumental metal alumni, Animals As Leaders across Europe and North America. While becoming a household name in instrumental, guitar driven music, Intervals is poised to ascend beyond the glass ceiling in support of The Way Forward.

Currently the bands only permanent member, Marshal’s former bandmates split from him in 2015 due to “different expectations about the direction of the band”.
